The St. Bartholomew Parish Church was first built of light materials in 1583 and was eventually rebuilt of brick and stone in 1752. It was partly damaged by fire in 1781 and was reconstructed in 1845 with the additional choirloft. It's reconstruction was the project of the then parish priest, Rev. Vicente Velloc who also built the Narcarlan Underground Cemetery, the one and only underground cemetery in the Philippines.
Up next, The Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery.
